Joan and Doug - Married! - Invercargill Wedding Photography

Almost three weeks ago I had the absolute privilege to document the wedding between Joan and Doug. I had such an amazing day and I left their wedding absolutey buzzing.

The majority of the day was spent at the absolutely beautiful Hawthorne Gardens. It was my first time shooting out there, so I drove out there the day before to scout for good locations, and I actually got myself so excited I almost couldn't sleep. I love my job! The expansive gardens are absolutely stunning, and I can't wait to show you this wedding!

I consider it an honour and a privilege to document every wedding, and I want to say a huge thank-you to Joan and Doug for inviting me to document their special day.

We started the day with hair and make-up at Vibes on St Andrews street in Invercargill. The incredibly talented Kendyl Tulagi was taking care of the make-up, whilst the stylists of Vibes were doing the hair.

As the hair and make-up were wrapping up, I departed to the Groom's preperations. Doug was getting ready at a friends house, and the vibe was definitely one of laughter and fun.

It was then back to the brides house to document her preperations. Joan's dress and the bridesmaids dresses are absolutely, out of this world stunning!

The guests started arriving at the beautiful expansive grounds of Hawthorne Gardens, and the wedding was set to begin. I'm still not over how gorgeous every aspect of this wedding was. Joan had her son's giving her away, which I think may be one of my top 10 all time favourite wedding moments.

After the ceremony I whisked away the bridal party for some images, and I had plenty of amazing spots to choose from.

Then it was a fun and relaxed drinks hour before the formalities of the reception. I had an amazing day and so many new favourite images. The cake looked devine and was so rich in detail.

Styled in Southland - Invercargill Wedding Photography

Last Weekend I embarked on a mission - to complete my first ever styled shoot. The aim of this shoot was to establish myself as an 'iconically' southland photographer - So I chose to photograph the 'bride and groom' in some of the stunning locations that Invercargill has to offer! I settled on Queens Park, The Water Tower and Oreti Beach. I still cannot believe we have a stunning location like Queens Park right in the middle of town - how lucky are we!

Final Project - Palmerston North Wedding + Portrait Photography

So, last Saturday I officially finished shooting for my final project! My final project was all about making a portrait and wedding portfolio, and I am happy to say its been a success! Now its all about putting it all together, and getting it printed. Thank you so much to each and everyone of my clients this semester, my final project would not be possible without you! Here are some images from them,  in order of shooting.

After that, there were some stunning portraits. I got to work with my beautiful friend who is engaged, some amazing mothers and daughters, and some beautiful bumps and babies!

To finish it all off, I photographed another wedding. This wedding was simply stunning, the bride was so very talented, and had altered the dress and made the cake herself. I was honoured to be a part of her day.

To everyone that let me into their world for this project, I thank you. Whether I photogrpahed your wedding day, your newborn baby, or your beautiful family, I thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
